The legitimate temptation for everyone is probably to limit activities that are considered non-essential. However, not all of them are equal in terms of health risks.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b><i>Is it risky to float during this period?<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The short answer is no. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/graviti.harvest.agency\/en\/float-therapy\/\">Floating<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/graviti.harvest.agency\/en\/sensory-deprivation-tank\/\">in a sensory isolation tank<\/a> has a number of features that probably make it safer than going to the supermarket.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also safer than most other wellness activities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Interaction<\/strong>: there is no physical contact between you and any practitioner<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Hygiene<\/strong>: Clients shower before and after each float session, which makes a significant difference in terms of risk reduction<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Containment <\/strong>: with a maximum of 4 clients at any one time in the centre, it is easy to maintain social distancing<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, float therapy offers a quadruple technical protection provided by a water saturated in magnesium sulphate, already naturally sterile, which undergoes several treatments:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regular injection of <strong>hydrogen peroxide H202<\/strong> with <strong>sterilising<\/strong> and <strong>disinfecting<\/strong> properties<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Filtration<\/strong> of the total volume of water 3 times between each session through a <strong>high efficiency 1 micron filter<\/strong> (100 times finer than the diameter of a hair)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Water disinfection<\/strong> with <strong>bactericidal UV light<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of surface treatment, the cabins and tanks interiors are fully disinfected between each client and the centre&#8217;s hygiene is maintained on a daily basis using commercial grade disinfectants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Our number one priority<\/strong> is to ensure the <strong>health<\/strong> and <strong>safety<\/strong> of our team and the customers who choose to float with us. The already high sanitary standards have been reinforced during this particular period to ensure a perfectly hygienic activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b><i>What do the scientists say?<\/i><\/b><b> <\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcsp.fr\/Explore.cgi\/Telecharger?NomFichier=hcspa20200501_covibaigeteauxissudumilinatu.pdf\">the French High Council for Public Health (HCSP)<\/a>, while &#8220;no data on resistance to disinfection, specific to SARS-CoV-2, is available at this time, studies conducted on SARS-CoV [2002-2003 epidemic, NLDR] indicate that disinfection with chlorine or UV radiation is effective. They are also inactivated by heat (about 30 minutes at 60\u00b0C). <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The virus does not spread in water, such as flotation water&#8221; (Dr Roy Vore, microbiologist)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sf2h.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Avis-SARS-CoV-2-et-eau-de-piscine-SF2H-09.03.2020.pdf\">opinion<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published by the French Society of Hospital Hygiene,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;swimming pool water does not seem to be a suitable place for the survival and development of viruses&#8221;.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All agree that the potential risk in swimming pools and bathing areas comes almost exclusively from the close physical interaction between users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b><i>What are the precautions we take?<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The already stringent cleaning and disinfection procedures have been reinforced between each customer:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Masks must be worn<\/strong> in the common areas of the centre.
